Pentapeptide-18 is a modified enkephalin. Mimic the natural enkephalin mechanism in vitro: outside nerve cells, bind to enkephalin receptor and release G protein group (α, β, γ). In this way, the calcium channel is closed and the vesicles cannot be fused, resulting in a blocked release of acetylcholine and a non-excited state of the neuron. As a result, muscle contraction weakens, preventing fine lines and wrinkles from forming.
