Pyridoxine hydrochloride, also known as vitamin B6, is a form of vitamin B6 found commonly in food and used as a dietary supplement. As a supplement, it is used to treat and prevent pyridoxine deficiency. It mainly participates in nearly 100 kinds of enzyme reactions in the form of phosphopyridoaldehyde (PLP). Most of them are related to amino acid metabolism, including transamination, decarboxylation, side-chain cleavage, dehydration, and transvulcanization.
